Dear Congressman Rogers:
I am sending this letter in order to respectfully request your prompt intervention to support the Gallaudet students, faculty, staff, and alumni (FSSA). FSSA representatives may be contacted at http://contact.gufssa.com.

Please read below the FSSA letter, which explains the tragedy that has resulted from a flawed presidential search process. As you may know, numerous national associations support the students and the FSSA. The Board of Trustees must acknowledge these FSSA requests and accommodate them accordingly. In fact, the Gallaudet University Alumni Association issued an official letter requesting that a resolution is reached as soon as possible in order to resolve the unrest at the University, and it is yet to be posted on its website. The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) also issued an invaluable position paper supporting the students (www.nad.org/GallaudetOpenLetter3). Finally, I have included for your review the weblink to the online alumni petition, which approaches 4,400 signatures at this time (http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/654622934?ltl=1146656783).

Clearly! Intervention from your office is much needed to resolve the chaos and unrest at Gallaudet University, and this can be done by supporting the students and by asking that the Presidential process be reopened and reprisals be prohibited.
